Redesigning Maldivian Central Bank Information Systems

Jerry Henzel of Precipice Development International oversaw the developed of the information systems for the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) in the Republic of Maldives.

Funded by the Commonwealth Secretariat in London, the project involved examining the IT strategy for the MMA, and in particular, its database systems and redesigning them. Working as a team with technical and businiess staff members from the MMA, we architected and deployed a data warehouse solution to allow the Research Department to more easily perform its duties of monitoring and reporting on Central Bank activities to the Maldivian population and the international community, e.g. the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, etc.

As part of the IT strategy work, Jerry Henzel examined all aspects of IT operation, e.g. network, security, database, management, etc. and implemented portions of the ITIL and Microsoft Operations Framework as a standard of best practices for IT management at the MMA.

Jerry Henzel's work is noted in the MMA 2006 Anuual Report.
